On June 27th, nine members of St. Mark's Youth Group (Eric, Jacob, Katie, Julie, Dylan, Austin, Jonathan, Becky and Christine) and two chaperones (Ms. Maryanne & Mr. Carl) left on St. Mark's first ever "Mystery Mission Trip".

Day 1 - The group traveled to Luther Springs in Hawthorne, FL where we helped to clear a fence line of dense brush and trees.
 

Day 2 - After a long van ride, we wound up at St. John's Lutheran Church in Atlanta, Ga. where we made 101 ham, turkey & cheese sandwiches and then delivered them to a local food pantry.

Day 3 - Our next stop was Newberry College (a Lutheran college) in Newberry, SC. Here we helped them move their thrift shop (The Shop Around the Corner) from one location to their new location. We spent the day setiing up racks and seperating clothes.

Day 4 - This was our fun day and we spent it whitewater rafting on the Chatooga River in Ga. These were class 5 rapids which was both challenging and a lot of fun.

Day 5 - Our final day of our mission work was spent at Luther Ranch in Tallapoosa, Ga. Here we cleared an area of land that will eventually be used as a worship center for the retreat house.

Day 6 - We travelled from Tallapoosa Ga back home to St. Mark Lutheran Church in Dunedin, FL. We logged a total of 1,608 miles on this trip.
