Fellowship
At St. Mark we see fellowship as a way to strengthen relationships among our members and with the surrounding community. In addition to regular fellowship opportunities, our traditions include a number of annual events that commemorate special times during the church year and provide opportunities for fellowship and celebration.
Wednesday Night Congregational Dinner.A buffet dinner is served continuously from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Social Hall as part of Christian Body Building on Wednesday nights during the school year. This is a fellowship opportunity for members of all ages and everyone is welcome.
First Sunday BreakfastsOn the first Sunday of most months (check calendar for exceptions) all members and visitors are invited to a breakfast buffet in the church Social Hall after the first worship service. This is a great chance to catch up with visitors and fellow members and get to know each other better.
Adult OutingsSeveral times in the winter and spring, adult members of St. Mark head out on local excursions. Past trips have included Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota and the Ink and Blood Exhibit of Biblical Manuscripts in St. Petersburg.
Live Nativity
The Live Nativity is a cherished tradition at St. Mark. For one weekend before Christmas, the church grounds are transformed into a recreation of the Holy Land, complete with costumes, sets, props and barnyard animals. Luminaries light the way as visitors drive or walk through the scenes that tell the timeless story of the Nativity and remember the true meaning of Christmas
Church PicnicOur annual church picnic marks the end of the school year and beginning of summer. Water toys, horseshoes and other lawn games are available for the kids and everyone enjoys the grilled burgers and knockwursts cooked by our volunteer chefs and delicious side dishes and desserts brought by members.
Easter BrunchOn Easter Sunday morning we hold a brunch in the Social Hall following the 8:45 service. The Easter Brunch is traditionally hosted by the kids who plan to attend summer Bible camps and their parents, with the free will offering being donated to the summer camp scholarship fund.
Campfire ShowcaseThe Campfire Showcase is an opportunity for kids who attended Luther Springs and Lutherock camps over the summer to share their experiences with other members of the congregation. We all enjoy a camp-style meal while the campers entertain us with skits, songs and stories..

Baseball Game OutingMembers of St. Mark enjoyed an evening of fellowship while attending a Clearwater Threshers game at Brighthouse Field on August 5, 2006. The Threshers beat the St. Lucie Mets by a score of 4 - 2. The evening was capped off by a fabulous fireworks display. A good time was had by all. We look forward to doing this again next year.
Other EventsCheck back on the website or watch your newsletter for Bunco parties, sunset kite flying, movie nights and other fun programs for our church family. If you have ideas, submit them on the forums page and the Fellowship Team will see what they can do!
